Eventful day. Or not, depending upon how you see it.
I own a Mercury Grand Marquis, 1985 model. It's a good car, even if it's gas tank/fuel gauge is busted, it has a jerry-rigged oil cap, and no heat/AC. It's a good car.
Well...today it decided to become a good hunk of steel. It died on me halfway to work. At this time, I don't know what the cause is save that it went *thunk* and the engine died. Drew and I got it to turn over and move long enough to start heading home before the engine quit again and could not be coaxed to starting.
She had oil, she had a nearly full tank of gas, all hoses appeared intact. Only possible problem is fresh oil leaking around the engine that Drew says could be from a blown head gasket.
Either way, I'll be out $60 at the most for the towing.
Damnit...she was my first car. She never did me wrong. Am I too sentimental to want to lose her? Her name was Camellia, often Cammie for short. I want my boat back. *sniffle*
