On one hand... I'm glad that neither Dad nor myself were the ones who shelled out $845 for a landscaping crew to come straighten up my grandmother's somewhat overgrown garden.
On the other hand... I wish I was so I could pitch a fit over the fact that they decimated it. Some bushes have nothing beneath them now and are bare of branches for 3-4 feet. The poor forsythia looks so naked like that. I mourn the tree peony, the irises, lilies, gladiolus, and other flowers/groundcover that were there. All gone. Anything we planted for ground cover last year is gone.
Mind, some trees were intended to go, some to stay (not always the right ones but hey). Just... not this much. It looks so barren out there I can't bear to look at it.
And our tomato and pepper plants appear to have been trampled in the process. :( Maybe they'll come back, I don't know.
....
And this was looking to be a good day for a while...
