17 March 2007 01:51When you spend your life as an only child, you unfortunately get used to internalizing a lot of what you feel and think. It's a safety mechanism. If no one knows how you feel, they can't tell you you're wrong to feel that way. If no one knows what you think, the same applies.
I have to stop doing that. I do. Twenty-nine years and I still sit and think over things that are not my fault and wonder why they hurt so much.
( A little angsty, I'll spare the casual reader. )
Hah. All of this reminds me I have to pick up tissues the next time I go to the store. Honestly, I'm not an angsty depressive wreck all the time.
